General note:

This accession consists of a logbook for the CGS Parry, a vessel which once worked as part of the Canadian Hydrographic Service.

The logbook contains notes regarding the weather conditions, the vessel's destination and course, and activities undertaken each day.

The accession also contains two newspaper clippings related to the vessel.

Custodial history:

This logbook was delivered by an anonymous donor to the British Columbia Ministry of Water, Land, and Air Protection. That office then sent the logbook to BC Archives, Royal BC Museum Corporation. BC Archives then forwarded the logbook to the Vancouver Office of Library and Archives Canada in August 2005.
