This sub-series comprises photographs of the Gordon Campbell Dewar family, the Merritt family, and other photographs kept by Louise Powell (nee Dewar). The series well represents her immediate family, including her father, Gordon C. Dewar, her mother, Marguerite, and sister, Lorna. There are many pictures of the family at their cottage, "Porky Point". The photographs in this sub-series provide excellent visuals for the fashion and social customs of the 1930s and 1940s.

The photo albums depict Louise Dewar as a baby, her days as a teenager at Camp Cedarnook, the early days of her relationship with Robert Powell, and their young children. An album created by her mother, Marguerite Merritt, as a young woman provides insight on the lives of upper-class adolescent women in London, Ontario ca. 1900.
