This is a documentary film about the Niagara District Fruit belt, showing some of the steps involved with bringing their product to the consumer. The film begins with poetic intertitles extolling the bounty of the region followed by shots of the countryside and an orchard in full blossom. Among those shown picking fruit are the "Farmerettes"; the viewer is shown many shots of these young women both at work and posing for the camera. After picking, the fruit is packed and sent to the Grimsby pre-cooling plant and then the shipping shed where it is loaded onto rail cars that will take it to market or canneries. Also shown is a basket factory shipping out loads of the journey of the fruit, the film shows the inside of a cannery where the fruit is sorted, canned, heated and packed. Another destination for the fruit is the market, such as the busy one in Hamilton or small ones along the side of the road; shots of each are shown. The final shots of the film show children enjoying the fruit that comes from the "Garden of Canada". <12mn 02s>
