The fonds consists of all activities manufactured by Dominion Engineering Works Limited in Lachine and Longueuil plants, Quebec; and Canadian General Electric Hydro components, most of the steel manufacturing products such as built steam engines, steam motors for ships, munition-factory for WW II (1940-1943): guns, shells, canons, cartridge cases, portable guns; hydro turbines, diesel engines, hydraulic presses, cranes, bridges steel components, various foundry equipment and operations, various machine drills, mouldings, valves, paper machines equipment, jaw crushers, various size gears, gear motors; in addition, there are many photographs showing women working in the plants as machinists and doing assembling work; also, various activities such as Victory Bonds Campaign, Blood Clinic, views of the plant, aerial and exterior.
