The film is a well shot and carefully edited "day at the flight training school".~Footage includes: Anson two-engine planes, made by Avro, and used for training pupils; interesting shots from inside the cockpit, in the control tower, and exteriors; a march-past with George Laird (DFC) in command; pilots, with white flashes on uniforms identifying pupil pilots, showing the instuctor sitting on the right and the student on the left; taxiing techniques with brake and two throttles; the aldis lamp used in the control tower to guide landings and takeoffs (there is no radio communication); after-flight landing drill in cockpit; a pupil and instructor checking log on the way in; George Laird; and the Wings parade. ~There are many very good in-flight shots, as well as formation flying, and a landing sequence. <15mn>Language:SilentDetailed holdings information: -
