The sub-series consists of press clipping albums, compiled by members of Minister Chrétien's staff, covering his career as a Member of Parliament and a Minister until 1982, although the majority of records concern the 1970s. These records also concerning Aline Chrétien and the Liberal Party of Canada.The main part of this sub-series consists of material from the 1970's.

These records provide a good overview of the media coverage given to Jean Chrétien throughout his political career and, more generally, of the political scene from the late 1960s to the early 1980s. The sub-series also contains some photographs.
