This series consists of small subsets of documents corresponding to other series in the Pierre E. Trudeau fonds.

1) Briefings books and other memoranda
This subset is composed of briefing books and memoranda requested by the Prime Minister and assembled by the staff of the Prime Minister's Office. It also includes the Prime Minister's copies of distributed material and material collected by the Prime Minister or his staff for research purposes between 1968 and 1980.

2) Correspondence Division
Included in this subset of records are copies of the standard letters and Official Documents utilized by the PMO, as well as information on the subject classification systems adopted for PMO correspondence. These documents mainly date from 1968 to 1982.

3) PMO Press Office
This subset includes copies and originals of press conferences, press releases, speeches, questions & answers and interviews given by the Prime Minister between 1981 and 1984.

4) 1968-1978 Priority correspondence
Included in this subset are 1977 and 1978 priority correspondence files relating to foreign affairs, federal government and the provincial government.

5) 1978-1979 PMO correspondence
This subset includes eleven (11) general correspondence files received in 1978 and 1979.

This series includes material that was found at the end of the processing project of the Prime minister archives. For convenience a new series was created.
