Dr. Helen Caldicott has been an anti-nuclear campaigner for decades and her latest book, The New Nuclear Danger, is an attempt to educate Americans. This documentary exposes the policies of America post 9-11 and the right wing discourse of the security dynamics that place America at the heart of war in Afghanistan and Iraq. In 1982, Caldicott's film, IF YOU LOVE THIS PLANET, exposed Reagan's administration and got her nominated for the Peace prize. This film, HELEN'S WAR, is a documentary by Helen's niece, Anna Broinowski, an inquiry into how and/or whether or not dissidents like Helen can make a difference. Martin Sheen, Rose O'Donald, Christopher and Dana Reeves, Richard Gere - these are some of the celebrity activists that are on side with Helen's campaign. Joe Keon took up the challenge to help Helen raise money to establish a leftist think-tank that could focus on reaching the American public. Caldicott believes that if she can mobilize the basic instinct that women have to save their young we may also be able to erradicate the way the world is currently controlled by testosterone, which she states is evident within the Bush administration of the United States of America, a country with the greatest amount of weapons of mass destruction, weapons that are used on a daily basis. <52mn>
