The film brings out the religious significance of the age-old practice, and suggests that it is disappearing under the onslaught of Western religion, politics, education and commerce. The camera focuses on, among other features, a school for young children, young people selling shark fin trophies for money to buy drink and follows a sharkcaller during a spectacular and dangerous battle with a shark. Various speakers talk about conditions under German rule during the war, British rule, and the presence of Japanese and Australian troops. <54mn>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
