CBC NewsworldProduction credit:director/script/photograpy, Edward Mowbray; script, Michael Allcock; executive producer, Peter D'EntremontDescription:Filmmaker Edward Mowbray explores the modern-day punk rock scene in Toronto, Ontario. Using footage from his 1983 film NOT DEAD YET about the 1980s punk scene in Toronto, Mowbray examines changes that have taken place in the Canadian punk scene. Through interviews with four members of the 1980s punk scene, Mowbray takes a "then and now" look at how their lives have changed between 1983 and 2001, and how they either fit into or defy a cultural, political and social system that demands conformity. Interviews are intercut with punk music, scenes of punk bands in Toronto, and images of the streets, bars, and homes of punk rockers. <39mn 40s>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
