Description:

Short documentary film with captions on the arctic expedition led by Captain Bob Bartlett to northeast Greenland. Among the crew on the schooner Effie M. Morrissey were Bartlett's brothers and nephews Jim and Robert Dove, Jack Angel and Sam, Will and Rupert Bartlett. Noteworthy footage includes: walrus bathing in the sun on ice pans; an iceberg breaking up in the form of a perfect arch; Inuit feasting on raw walrus meat; crew aboard canoes passing through glistening channels of ice and snow in pursuit of a polar bear. <10mn>
