PM entitled Mission du Kentucky, containing excerpts of letters to Badin: [1] Flaget to Badin, undated [on the diocese of Bardstown]; [2] [E.D.] Fenwick to Badin, 7 December 1825 [on the diocese of Cincinnati], mentioning the need for missionaries who can speak English and French; [3] "Notice sur la mission de l'Ohio," describing Fenwick's career, the Michigan and Northwest territories (many savages cross Lake Erie to go to Canada and receive the sacraments because they have no missionaries), and containing the letter written by Magate Pinisinidijgo (Oiseau Noir), chief of the Ottawas of L'Arbre-Croche, to the President of the United States [Monroe] asking for a priest "comme ceux qui instruisent les Indiens dans le voisinage de Montréal" [a similar letter in English is dated 12 August 1823];

[4] "Missions du Kentucky et de l'Indiana, de l'Ohio, du Michigan et du Missouri." For further information, the reader should write to Badin, vicar general of Kentucky and Ohio, at the Séminaire Saint-Nicolas du Chardonnet, Paris.
