Titled "Information on the Abbeys Lestrées and Maubec and the current reputation in Paris of the bp. of Québec [Laval] in New France" this is a detailed account of the condition of the two abbeys which includes information about their last abbots, the number of monks now dependent on them and the sources for, and the size of, their conventual and abbatial revenues. The report concludes with the statement that "the reputation of the bp. of Québec [Laval] in New France could not be better". His general deportment is lauded and he is said to have devoted his entire life to the establishment and expansion of the [Roman Catholic] faith in his diocese.
