ALS. A detailed report on Virginia [i.e., North America]. Virginia borders on New France (north), Florida (south), and a wonderous chain of mountains (west). New Mexico, New Spain, and the Strait of Magellan may be reached overland; Japan is more then 10,000 miles distant, but on the opposite side of the globe. Virginia enjoys a temperate climate, and is well populated by barbarous inhabitants, whose colour is brown, well disposed toward the Europeans. Cap-Sable is defined as the best location of New France. Suggestions on how to counter the endeavours of the English Lutherans and convert the natives of the New World.
