The first European settlers brought skating to Canada. By the late 1800s, Canada had the most indoor skating rinks in the world. The Victoria Rink, pictured here, hosted two important events in sports history- Canada's first indoor hockey game in 1875 and the first Stanley Cup finals in 1893.
