The silhouette is full length seated in profile to the right with the hands folded over the stomach and the shoulders back. The mount is a folio from the artist's own albums of duplicate silhouettes., Lukis family, Guernsey, given to the by the artist following a shipwreck: Mrs. Emily Nevill Jackson, acquired from the son of Frederica Lukis, daughter of Thomas Lukis to whom Edouart gave the albums.
