a sketch of various architectural details in the courtroom in Montréal, Courtroom -- 3 levels. Judge's bench is at the top. All in brown wood panelling. A small drawing of an elevator door in the courthouse is included. The frame is made of marble, and the door has quadrilated windows., The arraignment and inquest and the trial were all conducted in the Québec Justice Building of Montréal on Parthenais Street. The elevator was used to bring the prisoners from the fifth floor down to the courtroom. Some inmates like Paul Rose were held in this building during their trials, and not in the Bordeaux Jail., This collection contains 9 sketchbooks and 15 (approx.) large works. The sketches for political cartoons, mostly of FLQ trials, 1970-71.
