A medal commemorating the coronation of King Edward VII and his wife, Queen Alexandra, in 1902.

It should be noted that this medal is engraved with the original date on which the coronation was to take place, June 26th, 1902. However, the king fell ill with appendicitis and the coronation was postponed until August 9th, 1902.

The obverse side of the medal displays conjoined, crowned busts of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.

The reverse side of the medal displays an image of a helmeted figure (presumably the allegorical image of Britannia) holding a crown aloft children of the empire. This side of the medal is engraved with the words - "God Save the King."
