Scope and content:

Struck Æ memorial portrait medal sculptured by British Medallist, Thomas Halliday. The medal honours the memory of Prince Augustus Frederick, youngest son of King George III, best known as the Duke of Sussex. Here, he is recognized as a leading member of the Masonic Order in Great Britain.

The obverse side of the medal displays a bust of the Prince and is engraved with his name and title.

The reverse side of the medal is engraved with the Prince's birth and death dates, as well as his age at the time of his death. These dates are encompassed by a wreath and the symbol of the Freemasons.
