A bronze medal commemorating the life of Louis XVI, King of France and Navarre from 1774 until 1792 when he was deposed by French revolutionaries. He was later executed in January of 1793 on charges of high treason.

The obverse side of the medal displays a bust of Louis XVI by Armand Caqué.

The reverse side of the medal is engraved with a short history of Louis XVI.
