This is part of the Caroline L. Daly Album - page 2 of 10, Subject depicts a landscape in winter of a waterfront lined with architecture and a road; activity and transportation by foot and sledge on road; activity by figures on frozen body of water; broken up ice along shoreline is heightened with white, Miss Amelia Frederica Dynely was the daughter of Colonel Thomas Dyneley C.B. and Mrs. Mary Frederica Dyneley. Between 1848 and 1852 she accompained her parents to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec. She often borrowed topographical views of Canada from various artists, which she copied and signed. This is especially true of James Duncan, from whom she received formal lessons., Other works by Amelia Frederica Dyenely can be found in the Coverdale collection of Canadiana
