The papers of James Robert Finlay document his career in broadcasting, especially his work with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, 1937-[1970]. The papers include: photographs; speeches; programme schedules and news; radio transcripts for such programmes as "Bach Concerto Series", 1940, and "Musically Speaking" by Murray Adaskin, 1940-1941; correspondence and internal memoranda to and from Finlay as Station Manager of CBL Toronto, Ont., and as Director of the Prairie Region; and personal papers, including: educational records, 1924, 1926 and correspondence.
