The material includes approximately six metres of visual records which were removed from the textual files in accession 1991-92/032. Many of these records provide evidence for the RCMP operational case files. They are a crucial part of the case files and have been removed for conservation reasons. In nature the material includes surveillance photography, images of criminals wanted by Interpol, crime scenes, weapons used in crimes, restricted materials including drugs and weapons, post mortems, etc.
At the time of writing this accession entry, a large amount of audio-visual and other non-photographic material had yet to be separated from the accession. Its extent is unknown.
