General note:

Two prints depicting the 18th century whaling industry in the North Atlantic. Work by Homaenischen Handlung (Homan publishing business) (ca. 1702-1730) and Homaenischen Erben (Heirs of Homann) (ca. 1730-1813).
These two works were included in a composite atlas of 17th - 19th century items purchased by the National Map Collection for 225.00. The Picture Division transferred 10.00 for these two engravings..
