Two albums entitled "Canadian Historical Series of Advertisements 1924 Molsons Brewery Limited" (one in English, one in French) containing 36 scenes of life in Canada in relation to Molsons. The albums were prepared by A. McKim Advertsiiising Agency. The views include the following subjects: A Party in the 18th century; An Old-time Orchestra; the Molson Company vaults (2 views); the Montreal Hunt Club founded in 1826; Sir Guy Carleton, Lord Dorchester; Jean-Antoine Panet, 1792; The Hon. Michel-Eustache Chartier de Lotbiniere in 1815; the steamboat "Accommodation" in 1809; Quebec in 1810; Napoleon in 1811; Colonel de Salaberry; Louis-Joseph Papineau in 1815; fabrication of barrels, 1816; Thomas Blackwood, founder of the Montreal Board of Trade in 1822; The Hon. J.-R. Vallieres de St.-Real, 1826; Chateau St. Louis, Quebec after Coke-Smyth; Montreal seen from the Ile Ste-Helene, 1830 after Robert Sproule; Place d'Armes at Montreal, 1830 after Robert Sproule; Old Market in Upper Town, Quebec, 1832, after Robert Sproule; Jacques Viger. mayor of Montreal, 1832; the steamboat "Royal William" in 1833; the first Canadian railroad 1837; Lacrosse in 1839; John George Lambton, Viscount DurhamEarl of Durham, 1839; Louis-H. Lafontaine, 1843; Denis-Benjamin Viger, 1843; View of Notre-Dame Street, Montreal, 1844 (after the print by Matthews); Georges-Etienne Cartier, 1858; the celebration in honour of the transatlantic cable, Montreal, 1858; the Victoria Bridge, 1859; the first tramway in Montreal in 1863; Sir John A. MacDonald 1867; Pierre-Olivier Cheauveau; Wilfrid Laurier, at the age of 33 in 1874.
The album in French was received from Dawn Munroe, Public Archives Library in 1980.
