Collection search - Captain Cook's Voyages Album [graphic material]

A volume of prints relating to the 2nd and 3rd voyages of Captain Cook, thirty-four after William Hodges, twenty-eight after John Webber, together with one other print, as well as one chart of the Southern hemisphere showing Captain James Cook's voyages 1772-1774, and 1776-1780, bound in brown leather and marbled boards, and inscribed on spine: Plates / to / Cooks / Voyages. Works by William Hodges (1744-1797) and John Webber (1752-1793).
There were originally 9 watercolours by William Ellis from the 3rd voyage bound into the album as well, but these were removed (cut out from between folios 64 and 65) and sold at auction at Sotheby's 26 january 1984, lots 86-95. One watercolour was acquired by NA (acc. no. 1984-103-1).
