Present are Premier Frost, Robert Saunders, Chairman of the Ontario Hydro, and Bill Beatty reporting.~Bill Beatty reports on the small bush community he visited as Des Joachims in 1945, and compares it with the huge double dam and installation now: the dam rises 180 feet from bedrock, is 2400 feet long, and there is a smaller dam that is 1300 feet long. Construction involved rebuilding 23 miles of rail line and 12 miles of highway, and final capacity will be 480,000 horsepower, second only to the Queenston installation. <8mn>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
