Description:

Interview by Bill Herbert of Leo McKinnon, long-time friend and associate of Grant McConachie, bush pilot in the Canadian north and president of Canadian Pacific Airlines. McKinnon begins with McConachie's early career when he financed his flying lessons with "barn storming". He continues with a discussion of McConachie's "engaging personality" and his superior knowledge of all facets of the aviation industry. McKinnon also recalls several anecdotes involving McConachie including using his fellow pilots' shirts to repair the damaged fabric on his Fokker aircraft.
