Alexander Henry was born in the Colony of New Jersey in 1739. He was a pioneer fur-traders who traded along the shores of the Great Lakes. In 1788 he sold his interest in the Indian country to the North West Company becoming a partner in the firm. He later returned to Montreal, where he died in 1824. John David Kelly (1862-1958) worked for the Stone Lithographing Company painting historical Canadian events.
