A large crowd of Kingsville citizens and visiting dignitaries banqueted in Memorial Hall, to pay homage to Canada's best known private citizen - 'Uncle Jack Miner'.~The chairman of the proceedings, F.C. Graham, Mayor of Kingsville, introduces the first speaker, John R. MacNicol, Federal Member of Parliament for Davenport, Toronto. MacNicol takes his text from Job (Verse 7, Chapter 12): "The last now the beast and they shall tell you, and the fowls of the air shall teach thee". He traces Miner's life and achievements and how Miner's sanctuary operates. Most of the birds that shelter there are geese. Jack Miner tells of his background and more details of his work. He talks of being "hatched" in Ohio. <35mn>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
