Brigadier General Kiel and Air Marshall Robb were at the saluting base, but they hadn't chosen a very nice day for handing back the field to the RAF.General Kiel's address included tributes to Britain. The ceremonies over, it remained to say the last, personal farewells before the Americans boarded the last U.S. Army Air Force Flying Fortress to leave Britain. Footage shows: men marching to and past camera; more troops marching to and past camera and reviewing stand; officers talking; lowering U.S. flag from flagstaff; raising British flag; American officer shaking hands with British officers; front of plane and plane taxiing past.Language:EnglishOriginal number:57-516Notes:Detailed holdings information: -
