Original editorial cartoons dating from 1979 to 1982 covering international, national and regional events and personalties associated with them; international personalties include Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, Henry Kissinger, Margaret Thatcher and Leonid Brezhnev; people of national significance include Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Joe Clark, Allan MacEachen, Marc Lalonde, Jean Chrétien, Francis Fox and Eugene Whalen; personalities in the provincial circuit include Brian Mulroney, Bill Davis and Paul Cosgrove.
The collection depicts concerns of western provinces particularly Alberta at this time dealing with oil pricing, waste disposal and native disturbances; it also provides a commentary on aspects of the Ontario government such as the Bill Davis B.I.L.D. program; national issues like unemployment, taxation, price hikes, and constitutional reform are also reflected.
