HMCS Restigouche : The River class destroyer, HMCS Restigouche, was one of only six ocean-going warships in the Canadian navy in September 1939. In February 1992, the destroyer HMCS RESTIGOUCHE was deployed to enforce sanctions, this time in the Red Sea. From March to June, the Canadian warship helped prevent goods from entering Iraq through the Port of Aqaba, Jordan. There are four improved Restigouche class destroyers: Gatineau DD 236, Restigouche DD 257, Kootenay DD 258, Terra Nova DD 259. The motto of HMCS Restigouche is "Steer a straight course."
