Canadian Rights and Liberties Federation : The Canadian Rights and Liberties Federation (1972-1993), formerly the Canadian Federation of Civil Liberties and Human Rights Associations, was formed in 1972. Its objectives were to promote, sustain and extend the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Canadian people. The Federation provided a national clearinghouse for information and assistance on civil liberties and human rights issues, and prepared and distributed educational materials on human rights and civil liberties.
