Series consists of two family letters written by Annie Rothwell, memorabilia, family papers (including posthumous material) and photographs.

The letters were written in Hintonburg ca. 1903-04 and are addressed to Rothwell's nephew Charles Reginald Fowler. They largely refer to I.J. Christie's ill-health, family matters and the coal shortage, but reveal Rothwell's affectionate relationship with the rest of her family and her sense of humour. There is a one-page note recording a gravestone commemorating seven soldiers killed during the North West Rebellion and a souvenir collection of pressed flowers from Winnipeg and St. Boniface dated 1890, suggesting that Rothwell had made a trip to the West. Also included is I.J. Christie's Common Prayer book, with his annotations and containing a pasted-in copy of his obituary.

The series also includes family trees prepared by Rothwell's descendants, photocopies of clippings about the Fowler family and an original clipping of Rothwell's mother's obituary, a published copy of a photograph of Rothwell (it appears to be the frontispiece for a book, presumably Loved I Not Honour More!), and a photocopy of her entry in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography: Who Was Who (1938).

The photographs include one of Annie Rothwell and her nephew Reginald Charles Fowler, October 1876, by J. H. Noverre, Toronto; a wedding portrait of R.C. Fowler and his wife Francie Christie, ca 1900, by Henderson, Kingston; and a portrait of R. A. Fowler, ca 1910, by Richardson, Napanee.
