This short film shows three common family situations that may occur in the household. The film demonstrates the scenario and then has several different conclusions to show how people could properly respond to each of the situations. The first scenario involves a phone call and an invitation for the young daughter. The young daughter asks her parents what to do. She is shown making four different requests and the off-screen narrator then prompts the audience members to consider what they would do in her situation. The use of intertitles with the questions asked by the narrator and directed toward the audience, pop up on screen throughout the film. The second scenario involves the mother at the dinner table asking for help cleaning the dishes after supper. The family members all leave the table with an excuse not to clean up. It is only the youngest son who finally offers to help. The narrator asks which family member's opinion or response towards helping with chores was the better one. The third scenario involves the oldest son coming home two hours late after being with friends. The confrontation between him and his father is played out three times. The narrator asks what scenario is the most appropriate. The narrator reviews each scenario. The film concludes that when communication is done in a friendly and clear manner amongst family members, it can make many situations easier to overcome. <7mn 23s>
