Footage of: furrowed fields over rolling hills in the Humber Valley District; a man and two horses furrowing a field; a man grading top soil with the aid of two horses; young cauliflower and cabbage plants in flats reading for transplanting into 2-inch pots; a man holding one of the young plants showing the roots to the camera; a man picks up the pots after the plants have been transplanted; a man displays a plant with long roots hanging from it; a farmer making holes in the soil big enough to transplant the cabbage plants; two methods of cultivation are illustrated, one using a horse and small plough and the other using a spade between the rows of cabbages; a man surveying the cabbage plants; the harvest of the cabbage crop and the displaying of two cauliflowers; a man trimming leaves from cabbages before packing them into wooden crates; and the harvest of more cabbages and tossing them to another who packs them in a wheelbarrow.
