The collection contains 94 photographs by William Kincade who was a private in the 134th Battalion of the 48th Highlanders of Toronto during the First World War. The photographs show the Regiment and their activities, as well as individual portraits of soldiers, while they were stationed in Surrey, England.

There are two sheets of written correspondence from Kincade that can be found in the accession file.

Kincade, William Thomas, 1896- : William Thomas Kincade was born on the 13th October 1896 in Mississipi, USA. He enlisted in the 134th Canadian Infantry Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force at Toronto in February 1916.
