The accession consists of colour transparencies taken in Canada, the United States and many other places around the world in the period from approximately 1960 until the early 1990s. The contents cover a wide variety of imagery: aerial cityscapes and skylines, aerial views of terrain and interesting geography - often with a definite colour or geometric pattern defining the image; scenic views of countryside, seasonal changes, tourist attractions and vistas; architectural views of particular buildings; work evidently for particular organizations (such as several views of hardrock mining in Ontario); local activities in foreign countries; famous buildings and places (such as St. Peter's and the Spanish Steps in Rome).
