The series consists of records relating to the publications and publishing projects of the Royal Heraldry Society of Canada. The largest group of files hold successive drafts of Alan Beddoe's manuscripts "Our Unknown Heritage: Heraldry in Canada" and "Canadian Heraldry". Revised and edited by Strome Galloway, the latter manuscript was ultimately published posthumously in 1981 as "Beddoe's Canadian Heraldry" by Mika publishing. Other records offer evidence of the society's role in the editing and publishing process.

The series also holds drafts of Gertrude Reay's unpublished manuscript "Steps to Heraldry" which featured the use of birds and animals in heraldry, letters of permission from armigers to publish their coats of arms, and other records of the society's unsuccessful efforts to complete and publish her book. There is also a mimeograph of Herbert George Todd's apparently unpublished manuscript "Armory and Lineages of Canada". The series also includes correspondence, 1970-1986, related to the society's journal "Heraldry in Canada".

In addition, series includes English and French versions of a theatrical commercial entitled "Heraldry: Symbols of Sovereign People", produced in 1987 by Changing Images Productions Ltd., and sponsored by The Heraldry Society of Canada / La Société Héraldrique du Canada.
