Description:

Documentary covering the British Commonwealth Air Plan training activities at Windsor Mills, Quebec during the summer and winter of 1941/1942. Activites at #4 EFTS such as snow removal procedures, flight operations (including a first solo), handling and packing parachutes, stunting and flying routines are covered in detail. The early aircraft used in the Commonwealth Air Training Plan are featured. Aircraft such as the Fleet Finch, Westland Lysanders, Noorduyn Norsemen, and Avro Ansons are shown as are some of the other transport aircraft used to ferry passengers during the formative days of the BCATP. <32mn 43s>
