Collection consists of three from a set of competition drawings prepared by Frank Darling for the Parliament Buildings, Province of Ontario. Darling & Curry placed second in the 1880 international competition, after Gordon and Helliwell. When working drawings and specifications were prepared, the price was much higher than anticipated and the Province allowed the work to lapse. In 1885, R.A. Waite was accepted as architect for the Legislative Buildings in Queen's Park.
