This album, comprised of 116 pages on which 407 photographs are mounted, consists of photos by R.S. (Richard) Finnie. Many of these same photographs are also found in album # 70, especially the photos from 1931. Finnie's headquarters were based out of Coppermine Gulf and while there, he captured the lives of the population in the Arctic through things such as sledge journeys and hunting camps. He also photographed men who had lived thirty years or more in the Arctic. Another subject is L.T. Burwash and Finnie in search of Franklin expedition relics in 1930. They flew in a G-CASK airplane to achieve this and this was the first flight over the Magnetic Pole (according to album). There is also a series of photographs documenting Finnie's filming activities such as for "Dance of the Copper Eskimo", and at Bloody Falls, Coppermine. Lastly, there are photographs from his travels with a N.A.M.E. party (Northern Aerial Minerals Explorations). Over half of these photographs have already been copied.
