Fonds consists of: events and individuals associated with the military career of A.E. Christian as a non-commissioned officer with the 78th Battalion (Winnipeg Grenadiers) during the First World War and as an officer with the Winnipeg Grenadiers during the Second World War. The following subjects are documented: personnel and activities of the 78th Battalion, C.E.F., at Camp Sewell, Man., 1915, and aboard H.M. Transport Empress of Britain en route to Great Britain, 1916, and at Bramshott and Bordon, England, 1916-1917; officers of the Winnipeg garrison at Fort Osborne Barracks, Winnipeg, Man., 1920's; brass band of the Winnipeg Grenadiers, Winnipeg, 1920s-1930s; Stone Frigate, Royal Military College, Kingston, Ont., 1942; composite photo of officers of the Winnipeg Grenadiers, Winnipeg, 1942; group photograph of officers attending the 6th Company Commanders Course, Royal Military College, Kingston, 1942; Victory Loan Parade, Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps Central Mechanization Depot, London, Ont., 1943; group of officers, including Major A.E. Christian of the Winnipeg Grenadiers, outside the Officers Mess, Terrace, B.C., 1943; Major A.E. Christian with a Ram tank, Camp Borden, Ont., ca. 1944.
