General note:
Accession consists of a wide variety of maps from all over the world. There are many maps from the Canadian Land Use Information Series; there are also numerous maps from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Czechoslovakia, the Soviet Union and Hungary as well as Israel, Denmark, United States and Germany.
The majority of the material was classified with the foreign collection. The Canadian maps were integrated into the main collection; the atlases were added to the National Map Collection.
