Description:

This is th story of money and matrimony. A successful businessman marries an innocent bride who falls into debt playing cards with two experienced women. In order to pay off this debt she pawns her jewellry. She is found out by the son of the pawnbroker who convinces her to bet on the races to obtain some money. She loses heavily and owes Downing, the pawnbrokers son, as well. She pays him with some expensive pearls which her husband notices missing. Just as the police are about to be called Downing shows with a cheap replacement set. June is set up for blackmail by the chauffeur who is aware of the situation.
