Collection consists of cartes-de-visite portraits of the following members of parliament and residents of Quebec: Judge Drummond, M.C. Cameron, J.H. Burton, L.V. Sicotte, Chief Justice Wallbridge, DeCauze, Isaac Buchanan, Alex Campbell, J.M. Daly, A.; Knight, M. Hemming, and John Egan. Photos are by Ellisson & Co., Quebec City, Quebec.

Ellisson & Company : Ellison & Company was a photography company flourished St. John St., Quebec, Quebec, 1848; 24 Fabrique St., Quebec, Quebec, 1855; 28 St. John St., Quebec, Quebec,1856; 39 St. John St., Quebec, Quebec, 1859; 39 1/2 St. John St., Quebec, Quebec, 1864-1874. Best known for a number of fine wet-plate portraits (ca. 1855-1865). May have exchanged some negatives with the firm of L.-P. Valee. Also produced souvenir views from 1850 to 1881, George W. (or William) Ellison is identified with the firm.

Works located in: National Archives of Canada.
