Album of 152 pages An assemblage of documents relating to John M.C. Muir's (1878-1882) summer employment as a Rodman on the Grand Trunk Railway line between Montreal, Quebec and Portland, Maine. Included are drawings, prints, architectural drawings, charts and photographs showing aspects of the work and the line, as well as a photo of John M.C. Muir. Works by John M.C. Muir (active ca. 1855-ca. 1911).
One certificate and one seal of knighthood for Sir Joseph Hickson (1830-1897).

John M. C. Muir is depicted in the album in a photograph which shows him to be in his early 20s, and has been traced in Montreal City Directories from 1892-1893 to 1910-1911, when the name disappears
