Fonds consists of films about Ontario Premier Leslie M. Frost, including his election victory, the swearing-in of his cabinet and his funeral.

Also included in fonds is the CKLY radio broadcast of proceedings of funeral service at Cambridge St. United Church. Lindsay, Ontario, for Leslie Frost, May 1974.

Frost, Leslie M. (Leslie Miscampbell), 1895-1973 : Leslie Miscampbell Frost was born on 20 September 1895 in Orillia, Ontario. Following service in WWI, he attended Osgoode Hall, graduating in 1921. Thereafter, he purchased a law practice in Lindsay, Ontario and became an active member of the Conservative Party. He was elected to the legislature in 1937, and appointed provincial treasurer and minister of mines in the Cabinet of George Drew in 1943. In 1949 he became Conservative leader, inheriting the premiership. He resigned as leader and premier in 1961. Frost died 4 May 1973 in Lindsay, Ont. Graham, Roger. "Leslie Miscampbell Frost." Moving image material was acquired in 1977 from Robert John "Jack" Beal, the nephew of Leslie Frost's wife, Gertrude, and, upon her death Frost's designated next-of-kin. Sound recording was acquired in 1977 from an unknown source.
