Sub-series consists of letter book copies of despatches, both numbered and unnumbered, including enclosures to the Colonial Secretary or the Under Secretary from the Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. Some volumes include a chronological list of despatches as an index, noting recipient, date, subject and folio of the despatches. Volumes 62 to 67 are registers of the despatches found in volumes 43 to 61. Included in volume 43 are drafts of despatches from Lieutenant Governor Robinson to the Secretary of State, 1866-1873, despatches received by Lieutenant Governor Robinson from the Governor General in Ottawa, 1869-1873 and miscellaneous correspondence, 1836-1868, which appears to be correspondence received by Robinson from minor British and colonial offices. There are no volumes numbered 54-57 in this sub-series.
